For one all customer service is located overseas apparently, not USA employees at all, it is slow like they are translating the information you type in to them on the "chat line" and then after several minutes they respond in broken English. They do not answer the question, "what country is this customer service in?" so ignoring that, now my MJ which has always had technical issues (warbled sound, no message voicemail although I see calls listed with minutes that the person talked, no sound, etc.). Now magic jack is charging for local calls that were before free. They advertise free local and long distance but no more. It is an arbitrary thing, saying that they can charge for local if it incurs other guidelines. This is not what they advertise. I used to recommend them. No more. It is off to other competitors. Magic jack sucks and has for awhile now... And i will not support a company that also utilizes off short customer service, who does not employ americans. I am an american and find this fraudulent advertising, but protected by hidden contractual verbage that new customers will not be aware of. Be aware!
