Do You Honor Your No Lemon Policy or Not? - HP Notebook PC, DV7-3079WM

Hewlett Pacakrd built it, and they won't stand behind it... Walmart sold it, and they won't stand behind it, Asurion Services Plans of Florida sold a $99 extended warranty plan through Walmart, and THEY won't stand behind it. At this point, after being passed around between the customer service departments of all the above, I'm not really sure who is responsible, but I'll bet my State Attorney General's Office will figure it out! Two years ago, my grandson bought this computer to pursue a degree via on-line college. Exactly one year to the day after paying $900 for this laptop, he experienced power issues that kept him from being able to turn on the computer. Over the last 13 months, it has been sent back for repair (per Asurion) and performed for anywhere from a week to a few months before experiencing the same power failure. The extended warrantly insures a "No Lemon" policy (in writing), but you have to reach the 4th repair on the same problem before it kicks in. They always claim that the "part or parts" that needed replacement were not the same, but the issue is still the same... They are all related to the motherboard, and the result is always the same... POWER FAILURE! If somebody doesn't step up and do right by this young man who paid over a thousand dollars for a computer AND extended warranty protection, legal action will be taken. We will not continue this repair cycle, which leaves him without a computer for a month or more at a time, until the extended warranty plan has also expired.
