Less than 1.5 years ago, I bought an HP pavilion dv4t-1400 laptop. A week ago it failed to boot up. The caplock and numlock keys blink 4 times consecutively. After researching the problem, I found that the issue was the graphics controller was no longer functioning. This seems to be a very common issue and the company has already recalled some models for graphics controller failure. Geek squad technitian at Best Buy confirmed my findings and said it would need a whole new mother board due to the faulty graphics controller. I called the company and they offered absolutely no help. I would have to pay an additional $400 to have it fixed. I spoke with a supervisor and a case manager who told me I was at the end of the line for my complaint and they still refused to fix the problem. I will NEVER buy another HP product again!!! Stay clear of HP... They know they have problems with these laptops and they are ripping people off by continuing to sell them and then not fix the faulty parts!!!
