Home office use. I wanted another line for my home office. Little did I know, and no where is it disclosed, that Magic Jack fails to recognize the southern 1/3 of the state of Indiana. The 812 area code encompasses a full 1/3 of the state yet it is not an option with Magic Joke.
Retailers in the southern 1/3 of Indiana are in for a flood of unhappy customers! I've already spoken with the general managers at Sears, Lowes, Target and Wal-Mart. They are going to decide if they need to pull the product or make a large sign noting that the product is useless in the entire 812 area code. Clearly the product is not yet ready for prime time and shouldn't be released as a "national" product since it clearly isn't.
Chat and tech support with Magic Joke is terrible. They advised that I try an area code from some place like Montana where there are a lot of numbers available. Clearly these people do NOT understand business! It's too bad that they felt the need to rush a product to market when it's clearly not ready. I'm extremely disappointed with them. What other corners have they cut?
