Like a lot of people, I have been sucked in by Magic Jack thinking that it would save some money on phone bills. However, I live in rural (Bush) Alaska where the internet is nowhere as good as in urban areas such as Anchorage, or down in the "lower 48". Based on this and Magic Jacks dependence on broadband speeds, I have not been able to have a single phone call through Magic Jack without severe break-up on my and the recipent's end. I am very disappointed in this, however, I may have to wait and see if this changes when I travel. At this point though, I rate Magic Jack with a 2 out of 10. I can only hope that there is some improvement during my travels.
