I've had magicjack for 2 1/2 months now with terrible service. The clarity will not be there and customer service is no better than what you will find in the FAQ section of their website. You will experience dropped calls, static, voice vibration to the point that you sound like max headroom the whole time (if you remember who that is, you'll get it). The company promises alot and delivers next to nothing.
If you try to transfer your number, forget it. They say that they will transfer it, but when your new provider try's, they say it can't be done.
My recommendation for the cost and reliability is Vonage. Crystal clear reception with no drag on your computer.
