Gained my confidence by having me go to a site on my computer and they read to me what they said was my authentication number. Then relaying all the news about viruses out of UK, the FBI wanting Windows to contact all computer owners, saying my computer told them that it was having problems. Then scare tactics, that my computer was already 98% compromised. The mentioned a price for 2 years and a price for 3 years of security. When I said 2 years then they said; "Oh, you have XP - that only has a 3 year plan. I thought it was under $300. But when all was said and done, it was $370. So I fell for it and then had to cancel my credit card and dispute the charges. I contacted BBB, also. I want everyone to know not to fall for this.
