Ripoff dishonest uncaring fraudulent

Letter I wrote to this company:

Dear Mr. Alvin Roman:

I received a letter on your behalf with regards to the service I received after I made a car purchase from your organization.

I would like to begin by saying that my experience in dealing with your company was one of the worst business transactions I've ever dealt with.

On Friday 13, my uncle saw an ad for a 1998 Dodge Intrepid (white) which had A/C, which he referred me to. I went to your dealership, test drove the car, and was overall satisfied with it. Prior to making my purchase which was "PAID IN FULL, " I was informed that the A/C, which did not work, was going to be fixed. I totally understood that I was purchasing the car AS IS, and had no problem with understanding the consequences I may face.

Upon leaving the premises that day, I realized that the A/C was making noise whenever I turned it on and the car began to overheat whenever I put on the A/C. The A/C switch when activated emitted heat, and caused the car to overheat for some apparent reason.

With that being said, I called the sales person and informed him that (1) I did not received a FULL TANK OF GAS, AS PROMISED, and (2) that the A/C was not working properly. He told me I had to make an appointment to bring it back to get checked out. Even though i didn't agree with making the appointment, as this process should have been expedited for me, i did. I made the appointment 1 week later.

On my way to your dealership to drop off the car, the car once again began overheating. I pulled up to the offices and spoke to the sales rep about the problem I was having with the A/C and the noise. This guy had the audacity to tell me when he heard the noise, "what noise, that noise... But it's a low noise... I wouldn't worry about that!" Right then, I felt sort of suspicious about his level of service. He sat in my car, started it, and started playing with the A/C and Heat Buttons when suddendly we heard a bursting sounds. All of the anti-freeze started pouring out from underneath.

He looks at me and immediately tells me that what happened didn't have anything to do with the A/C and Heat. This guy is a sales person, how the heck would he know about what occurred without even opening up the hood or asking a mechanic.

Anyways, he escorted my car into the service center, spoke to a mechanic, and disappeared on me. From that moment on, no one wanted to assist me. Everyone turned their backs on me and didn't have any answers for me or what had happened to my car.

Finally I went into his office and asked him, "what's going on?" He says, "go ask the mechanic, we're just the sales dept... They will let you know!" I questioned him about why I was being neglected and he said, "it is Saturday, and he had cars to sell... This was a business he was running!" In essence, he didn't give a damn about me or my car's problems. When it was time make the sale to me, I had a bunch of friends there. Now that you've received payment for the car, everyone forgets about their customers.

On top of that, he tells me that the service guys figured out what was wrong and was working on it. OK fine... He never mentioned to me that I would be responsible for any payment of the services or for the parts. Once the job was in the works, I went looking for him back in the office and asked him. His exact words, "we'll we sold you that car AS IS... We're not responsible for anything... Etc..." I walked out of there.

Upon paying for whatever services I had to pay, which I wasn't informed of initially that I had to pay, the car's A/C problem was never fixed. I still have that noise under the hood. They told me to bring it back because the job was guaranteed.

All in all, even though I 'DID AGREE TO PURCHASE THE CAR AS IS, ' I still did not appreciate customer service I received from your associates. Everyone seemed very shady, no one had answers to my questions. I felt like a chicken without a head running around your offices looking for help. And to top it off, one of the sales persons saw me getting so upset that he told me he'd give me $100 if I punched the primary sales person in the face. He informed me that he was very grimmy and always does that to his customers.

Just thought you'd like to know.

On top of all of this, this vehicle no longer works. I should of listened to the associate who called me that works there suggesting for me not to purchase that car.

If you think going to a reputable car dealership to get the best level of service is the best thing, think again!
