I'll admit that I was late on one payment, but they looked up my work phone number and called me at work. When I told them that they were not allowed to call me at work they didn't care and repeatedly called me at work. I know that they had to have looked up the phone number because there are three ways of calling me at work, through a toll-free number, direct dial which goes right to my desk, and direct dial that goes to the receptionist. If I give a company permission to contact me at work I always give them my desk number. They are calling through the front desk which is the phone that is listed. Luckily my desk phone has caller ID so I recogize the phone number now and don't answer the phone.
Then they called me after 9pm at night and when I told them they said that it was only 8pm. I had to explain to them that I am in the eastern time zone and texas is in the central time zone therefore I am one hour ahead and that makes it after 9pm and you are not allowed to call me after 9pm yet they still demanded my payment.
I even asked the person that I spoke if they knew that they were breaking the law and had done it repeatedly and they said yes, but kept demanding my payment.
Just because I was late on my payment is no reason to break the law.
