A man named Brian bought a 1998 Suzuki GSXR-750 (Motorcycle) From a company called STI Towing located in Walton Kentucky from a lady named Mary Ann Neal (Owner).
Mary Ann Neal sold this bike to Brian WITHOUT a title. She sold it to him, and on the bill of sale wrote "For parts Only." This is illegal.
I Traded my 1996 Honda CBR 900RR (motorcycle) to brian for his GSXR-750 and $400.00. At the time of the trade i was told there was no title on the bike, and the money was to be used to get a title put on it.
I had the bike parked on campus one day at EKU. (I had not yet had a title on it, but i couldn't help myself, i had to drive it sometime.) As i left campus i was pulled over. The tags on the bike were expired and did not match the plate. The bike was impounded.
I went to the Boone County court house to try and get a title put on the bike in my name. The clerk told me to first have the VIN number ran at the police office to be sure the bike was not stolen. I had the number ran... Sure enough, it came back stolen.
I now have no bike, and i am paying on the original loan that i took out for the first bike (i used my car as collateral for the loan instead of the bike).
This report is written because i am out over $3000.00 because Mary Ann Neal sold a bike to Brian Without a title. She was to contact me more than 5 days ago and did not.
I sued Brian since i delt directly with him in this matter and not Mary Ann Neal. At the court meeting the Mediator instructed Brian and I to team up and talk to Mary Ann Neal together. We went that same day to talk to her and i have not heard from her since.
Why haven't you called Mary? I gave you my number that day!
I hope this report will help me in my battle against her, and maybe will keep further instances like this from occurring.
