I bought a 2003 4 door Dodge pick up on 1/31/03 with only 7 miles on it. The shocks have been bad for sometime, when I took it in for this they did not fix it they claim the didn;t have time and I had to get my vehicle back it is my only transportation. The doors leak when it rains, they have tried to fix it twice, it still leaks. On 9/19/04 while driving the truck lost oil pressure and started making a ticking noise, we took it by a Dodge dealer on Hwy 19 who told us "sorry I can't help you my service dept closes in one hour. So we took it to Bob Wilson where we bought it on 9/20/04. To make a long story short they are refusing to replace the motor under warranty due to sludge in the oil. We don't know if there could be some other cause like oil pump failure, they have not check it out and we are afraid to ask because if the oil pump is fine they will charge us for checking it. We already have a bill for $150 just for unbolting the oil pan, if that's not a rip off than I don't know what is. My husband has always changed the oil, we do not have money to spend to take it somewhere and we don't trust these small business's due to past bad experiences. And like most we did not save receipts which Chrysler said they would not be sufficient if we did have them. When I bought the truck no one told me that I had to bring the truck to Dodge or an Oil changing mechanic shop in order for my warranty to be good. I now have to pay another 3 1/2 years on a vehicle that I can not afford to fix and figure out how I am going to get back and forth to work so that my kids can eat because I can't keep borrowing other peoples cars. I want people to know that warranties don't mean a thing if they don't want to pay for it they will find an excuse not to. It's just a sickening feeling to be in this situation with no help.
