Took my transmission to have repaired at Transmission Xchange Warehouse. Dealt with Ben and Manny Garcia.
First, I bought a transmission to install myself. After getting it home found out it wasn't the correct transmission (mine is a 4x4). Went back to the shop and they gave me a different one. Wrong torque converter. Back to the shop and paid them to install it for me.
Warranty was for 12 months and 12,000 miles. 3-4 gears went out in only 8 months. When I went down to talk to them, they were cleaning out the shop.informed me they were moving to Morsund road, and asked me to give them 2 weeks to settle in. I did. They have not reopened in this location, all phone numbers have been disconnected and no one can find anyone from this company.
They had no issues taking my 1500 dollars, but run like thieves in the night when their shoddy work is brought to their attention.
FYI if you have to have a transmission rebuilt, DO NOT deal with MANNY GARCIA. You WILL get ripped off.
