Me and my husband purchased a mobile home march from Sycamore Trail. The home had had some prior damages that were to be fixed. The company was givin the money to do so and the work began. We moved into our home March 15th. AS of July 15th we noticed water leaks thru out the enitire home, when reporting this problem to them we were told it was our problem to fix it not thiers. Mind you they were payed 4,000.00 dollars to make all these repairs properly. We made an insurance claim that same month but our claim was denied due to the fact that this was a pre existing problem. The Insurance company adjuster notified the dealer of this.
We also turned in pictures and forms from the insurance company and the adjuster that these problems were never fixed just covered up very well. We tried for 2 years to get assistance with our home nobody has been able to help us. We then came to the concusion we would have to let our home get repoed.
Within 3 months of our purchase these problems arose. The roof began to leak along with all the windows. The living room and master bathroom floor caved in.
The master shower and master bath pipelines broke flooding the floors underneath. The front door and wall inside beside it rotted and fell apart.
The wooden siding on the outside began to rot and fall off. WE also have 3 young children whom have had to live in this home thru this with mold growing in the walls and underneath the carpets from the water damage.
When requesting our file for review we came to find out that when moving our home from its prior location, the movers that work for the dealership did not properly drain the piped causing all the water lines to burst from a freaze, first flooding our home and then set it up with only minor repairs. None of this was reported to us. We had to find out ourselves from sources that work for the dealers.
Upon moving out and inspecting we came to find out that some of the water lines were not replaced at all but taped together at breaking points. Now the finance company and the dealer are sueing me and my husband for the loan balance, repairs and lot rent for my mobile home.
Even though we are no longer in possesion of this home. Once again we notified the dealer and finance company of the problems up front. The only response we have been able to get is this was a used home and upon purchase of the home we are to assume all damages and responsibilities to the home as is.
We were sold a home that already had exsisting water damage and mold problems that we were not made aware of until after our purchase.
The tenants of Sycamore Trail have had on going problems with them on selling them homes that have had issues like this not being fixed but temporarily covered to make a sell.
They are not concerned with well being of people especially children.
WE now have a loan for 32,000.00 on a home that we can not ever live in or sell.
The health department was informed and the home was claimed unsafe. Sycamore trail is now in the process of trying to sell this home to other consumers and the repairs have still yet to be made to this home.
