Golden State Communications
Jason Lavin Failed Internet e-commerce website. Breach of Contract. Did not complete project. Site doesn't function. Cosa Mesa, CA

We paid Golden State Communications $23,500 to build us a state of the art, automotive e-commerce website. We did not pay that amount of money for a photo gallery website. Golden State assured us (Greyhound Auto Parts Inc) that they were more than capable of handling a project of this magnitude. An e-commerce automotive website is very complex.

Their team failed us. As our people got deeper into the project, they realized that something was very wrong with the website; we then contacted DCI (who supplies the automotive parts data) to speak with Golden's team. DCI told them, and us, that the back end was being built wrong.

We also paid DCI not only for the data, but to write a program to load their information into the website.

We had concerns that the site was very slow, it was crashing and timing out among other things; GSC's (Golden State Communications) people kept assuring us that once launched, the site would work properly. It never did and doesnt to this day.

Microsoft asp.netstorefront, the platform used by GSC, told us that there were too many categories for the search algorism to work properly. Then GSC had the audacity to tell us that after paying 23,500.00 we owed them money and that for more money they would fix the site at a reduced rate, in their spare time.

They ruined my business plan and caused me to have to let go of both my son and a single mother of two, both of whom worked tirelessly on this project.

To cut to the chase, this project cost me well over $100,000.00 and ruined my business.

I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General of the state of California and the Attorney General of the state of Florida.
