On April 6 I purchased a car cover on ebay Auto Armour Car Covers (autoarmour-auctions). The cover, including postage, cost $54.94 and included a lifetime guarantee. After 3 1/2 months the cover deteriorated and was unusable. It has numerous rips, and holes are created wherever it is touched. The fabric is totally disintegrating. I emailed autoarmour on July 27 and included photos of my defective cover. They responded that they would replace it. But that I had to pay $28.37 to cover shipping and handling of the replacement cover. I was shocked by this suggestion. They are asking me to pay over 50% of the cost of the product (which included shipping) in order to ship a replacement. I told them this was "a joke" and asked that, because the product has a lifetime guarantee and lasted less than four months, they should replace it at no cost.
