Idling policy

After being notified by my company handler or "dispatcher" as they are called in this industry that a $100.00 was coming out of my next paycheck (we get paid weekly) for "idling" the company truck that was assigned to me. "Idling" is the practice to run the truck engine while stationary in order to be able to run lets say the heater in a freezing night or the AC unit when humidity is at 95

So if the driver doesn't "idle" he/she gets no sleep... So then next day he/she MUST drive most of the maximum amount of time allowed by the DOT which is 11 hrs! So now we have a driver that did not had the benefit of a good night rest on AMERICAS roads, upset, grumpy, irritable, ect (due to lack of ZZZZZ!)

He/she could be the one behind you right now, or in the same neighborhood were your kids go to school.

They (refused) are not willing to equipt their tractor trailers with APC units (this units run independent from the main engine at extremely low fuel comsumption).
