Ripoff Failed to disclose existing damage on the used car I purchased

There are so many details that I probably can't fit on this message board but here pretty much what happened. I purchased a 1999 Toyota Solara from Fremont Toyota which will now be 2 years ago and I'm having several problems with the car. To cut a long story short, I asked if the car had been in an accident before and was told no in front of a witness. The car which was a Solara SLE had an SE emblem on it even though my paperwork shows it is an SLE. I should have known something was up but I put my trust in the Toyota name and got taken in by the supposed "Certified Used Car" hype.

My problem is that although I was suspicious I had no one that could check the car out for me and could not afford to pay a mechanic. I felt that I could trust the dealership because it was a well known name and that I had heard good things about it.

Another issue was I asked why there was coolant spilled on the coolant container and was told it was spillage from the service techs. It wasn't. I was involved in a minor fender bender at which time it was disclosed to me that the car had been involved in at least one or maybe more accidents due to the parts that were replaced!

I couldn't tell that from looking at it. Possibly the hood, the driver side door and underneath the front bumper there is a styrofoam block with tape and some damage and rust showing underneath the car! I was shocked! It had been a whole year and I couldnt believe it. I tried to contact Fremont Toyota on several occassions. (4 times in 3 months time, with the promise of returned calls that were never returned.

As time passed the lights on my car started to go off (ABS, and others) Well, I took it to a Toyota Dealer that was closer to me because I was told that my warranty could be used at any Toyota Dealership and found out that there was a crack in the HeaterCore and it had leaked into the cars computer. There is where the nightmare continues. My Toyota Warranty wouldn't even cover it, and luckily I had an extended warranty I purchased or I would have had to pay $3000 or more for this car I had only had for 1 year.

I then became frustrated and called the corporate offices and complained and they had a sales rep call me. I called back and asked for him and got a rep who claimed to be the "Customer Service" person. Yeah right. Well, with an attitude she began to talk down to me and tell me what she would have done if she were I and I asked to speak with a manager. I had to keep calling back because she told me her manager would call me and he didn't.

Now they want to inspect the car and its at Capitol Toyota with another problem which is supposedly unrelated. I don't even want to deal with them at all. I don't trust them and I feel that I should be able to trade this car in for the value of what I original thought I purchased. A used "certified" car with no accidents that could be the cause of all my problems.

I am currently in the process of trying to get legal help. Any and all advice is very welcome! I'm at the point where I want to park the car in front of their store and make a stating. I purchased this lemon here at fremont! Ask me how you too can do it!!!
