After ordering some stocked fabric online from Ballard Designs on 24 October I expected a simple transaction. That was certainly not the case. Ballard Designs do not have a secure online payment system for overseas clients. However after giving them my credit card number was advised that the fabric would be despatched shortly. The shipping dept (Cornerstone shipping) quoted a delivery to Canada I pointed out that I was in Australia so they confirmed Canada again but Ballard Designs said they had my address in Australia but the knuckleheads in the shipping dept didn't know Australia exists. I was informed the goods had been despatched only to find that the tracking said they had reached their final destination Bayside NY.
They have refunded my costs however If Ballard want to export goods they must improve their game and geography and get secure online payment.
I will not be ordering from them again.
