Ripoff Will Not Refund Cancelled Orders

Express Auto Parts will charge your credit card, but never send the items due to a "permanent" backorder. When you cancel your order, they will send you a confirmation, but never give you a credit on your credit card.

On July 6 I ordered a number of brake assembly parts from www.expressauto.com under the impression that they were in stock. My credit card was promptly charged. After a week I hadn't received the parts or a shipping confirmation so I sent an email inquiring as to the delay.

I was told that the parts were backordered and would ship within about 2-4 days. On July 20 I canceled my order so that I could buy the parts locally.

I've tried calling and emailing to find out the status of my credit, but have either been unable to contact them or delayed.

After reading some of these consumer complaints articles a little more than a month after my original order I decided that I had better get the bank involved. So I've disputed the transaction with my bank, who said they would give me a temporary credit, and try to get the money from expressauto themselves.

With Bank of America you can report disputed transactions over the phone within about 60 days of the transaction, otherwise your request has to be in writing.
