To Whom it May concern:
We need help!
We purchased a Truck from Better All Auto Sales in Yakima Wa on December 31st of 2011. The truck was a Ford F350 Crew Cab pick up. Upon test driving the truck we had noticed a number of issues with it but were assured by Ralph the Manger, and our Sales man Jessie that they would fix all issues that we saw if we chose to purchase the truck. We were lied to.
Once they got the money for the purchase we have not been able to get anything repaired. We have been given a total run around and have been dealing with these issues for over 5 months. We currently own and are paying for a truck that does not even start! Every time we go in to find a way to solve the issue we are only lied to more. We are told that they will repair it but in the end we get stuck with the bill.
The truck has been in the shop 6 times in less then 5 months. We have had to pay for repairs, labor, and parts on some of the repairs in order to try and resolve some of the issues. We were told that we would not have to at first and then informed that they would not be covering it and we get stuck with the bill. We have been presenting the same issues for the entire time and were told they would be repaired before we purchased the truck.
They are listed below:
Trailer breaks do not work, often flashes codes
Truck vibrates severely at 40-60 miles per hr.
Abs sensor is out
The truck hesitates and sputters when speeding up
Rear pinion seal leaks
Pinion gears and bearings are bad and need replaced
Shocks are blown (we have had this repaired on our own and covered labor)
Codes show up on dash board
When codes show cruise control and other controls do not work
Electrical short in the truck
Does not start 50% of the time
Truck dies
We have asked them to purchase the truck back after the first 3 repairs. They refused and said their only option is to repair it. We asked for them to exchange it with a different vehicle and was even willing to take a loss in order to get us into a vehicle that fit our needs and functioned. But they also were unwilling to do that.instead they offered to give us less then 1/3 of what we paid for it as a trade in on another vehicle, only if we purchased another truck that was from their lot!
But every time they take it in for repair we find out that they do not do the repairs that they state that they do. Such as they stated that they replaced the gears and bearings in the pinion. We then had to pay for labor and parts to do so. When they went out for a second time we found out that they replaced it with used parts that were never checked out nor were they any good. So they went out again. We have not been able to fix the repair that they did. They have refused to give us copies of any repairs to prove what has been done and can never tell us who the truck even went to. Many times we have been told that the vehicle was needing one thing, and then upon calling the service center found out that was not the case and it was something entirely different. Or we have been told that we had to pay for one repair and then never been able to get paper work on the repair.
We also have been notified recently that the sales man Jessie, whom helped us purchase the truck has had this happen many times with other clients. Due to his desire to help us and them he has been fired. They informed us when we asked why he was fired that he was unwilling to listen to his supervisor and that he was "unable" to do what he was told. Upon talking to Jessie he states that it was because he caught them cutting corners and having this issue over and over again.
We are concerned that this is a major issue and from the information that we were given by the salesman that we are one of many people who this has been done to. We feel that something needs to be done to make sure that this does not keep happening to other people. These people are clearly taking advantage of people and Lying to make a sale!
