Bought an Acura NSX from them and had to drive 24hr round trip so asked them if nsx was in good performing order. Owner of Source 1 Automotive, Brian said it was mint. Having read some good reviews of him and his shop on nsxprime.com I trusted his words and made the trip. Anyways, long story short, the NSX starts to make a whining noise when we got to the 1st toll in low speeds. At higher speeds it doesn't whine.in addition, the vehicle has to be driven 1hr or so before the transmission whines. Well, the next day I did find out the main case bearing in the transmission was bad. After the transmission heated up (1 hr) driving the whine would began in lower speeds. Called Source 1 Automotive and Brian only agreed to pay for parts. Also he said he never heard that whine which was non-sense. I even called him at the 1st toll when I heard it too. What a liar.
I just want people to becareful with Source 1 Automotive due to my experience. I am a certfied mechanic and a professional mechanical engineer and did the repair myself. Overall cost was $1900 considering the normal labor rate of Acura Vehicles. Again I warn all buyers to reconsider this shop's trusty words as I got ripped off.
