We bought a 1996 ford minivan from this dealership. I am 7 months pregnant and all we were looking for was a car that would be safe for our new coming family member and for my husband to be able to get back and forth to work. At the time we told the dealer this and he said that he would not put us in a car that did not work. When we bought it we new it needed some work done, what used car doesn't.
At the time of sale, he told us that they were sold out of temp tags and didn't even offer us an inspection. They were asking $2250 as is and we paid $1750 for it as is, which was all the money we had. As soon as they got our money they pretty much was done with us and were very rude. We got it home and started to do the repairs we knew needed to be done. The more my husband did to the car the more he found wrong with the car. It would not even pass inspection.
We had to change all the spark plugs, two rear lights, windshield wipers, radiator flush, change the oil and the oil filter was so rusted on that my husband had to hammer it off. We got to a point we could drive it to our mechanic so he could look at it more. When he was half way through the list of what he was looking at it, he found so much wrong with it that it would cost $4500, it also needs a whole new engine.
We went back to see if they would give us our money back or maybe trade us a better car and they would not do it. We spent all of our money on this car and we have not been able to drive it besides home and to the mechanic's.
