Honda & Isuzu issue a recall in September for lower link trailing brackets. That is not the problem with these vehicles as the rusted frame complaints with the National Highway Safety Administration date back to 2004.1998 Honda Passport & Isuzu Rodeo 149,992 vehicles were recalled and upon inspection the rusted frame became primary issue. The recall stated that in the rare event the corrosion is so severe that the reinforcement bracket remedy would not be appropriate, a repurchase offer will be extended to the owner. It was not a rare event and just about all of these vehicles had a severely rusted frame and should not of been repaired. Honda & Isuzu's response was they were only responsible for installing the recall brackets and the frame was the customer's problem. Only some customer's were offered the very low pay off for their vehicles. Many others were sent back on the road with a dangerous vehicle.
