I ordered a 2009 Venza with custom options. After waiting two months and after I sold the car the new car was replacing (that was dumb on my part), I was called to be advised that the car ordered was not available. Of course they had another car with different options that I did not order.
I found out from another dealer that the combination of options that I wanted was not available to order from the factory. Nice game David Maus Toyota plays... The old bait and switch technique in its most unique form.
Then to put the icing on the cake they would not respond to my requests to refund my $1,000 deposit. Thank-you Credit Card company for obtaining my refund and saving me additional aggravation in filing a lawsuit.
This all boils down to Dishonesty. Companies like this should not be welcomed to do business in Central Florida for that matter anywhere. David Maus Toyota discredits the brand Toyota and blackens the Toyota name.
It is highly recommended that a prospective Toyota purchaser find a dealer other than David Maus Toyota that will be honest in their approach to car sales. I found one in Lakeland, Fl.
