Complaint / Review
Les Schwab
Shoddy work, poor customer service

Wow! It's tire time again and I thought I would check to see if anyone had any problems with Les Schwab, like I did. I really appreciate this site because people can share their experiences with businesses here, and give those of us who are tired of being ripped off and victimized, a heads up on who we are dealing with.

After reading the first complaint about Les Schwab, I noticed it was followed by several rebuttals that absolutely beat up on that poor complainer, just for sharing his experiences. That is what this site is for. Sharing of our experiences. And I have never seen anything as mean and hateful as what happened to this poor Les Schwab victim, not by Schwab, but by the people who read complaint. My God people, get a grip. Maybe the heavens open for you every time you drive through the Pearly Gates of Schwab, but do not lambast others with name calling and criticism, just because your experience was wonderful and their's was not. They have an experience they want to share, and this is the place for that. I for one, appreciate that wholeheartedly.

I do not know much about auto tires, so when I go somewhere to buy them, I want someone who knows their business and will give me as much information as they can about what I need and what is wrong. My local Les Schwab guarantees a compele diagnostic, free check up on the whole under carriage. And if they see anythinf wrong, I expect to be told, as I never look under my car or see it with the tires off. That's their job.

I bought a brand new set of tires from L. Schwab, partly because of this. I depend on them to keep me safe as far as tires, brakes, shocks, etc. They mounted and balanced my tires and sent me on my merry way... Only to have to return in a few weeks as I noticed my car was pulling hard to the left... Apparently I not only needed a brake job (I had scored the drums), but I was also way out of alignment. I asked how I could need a brake job so fast, when I was just in getting brand new tires a few weeks ago, and was told everything was fine.

Upon questioning the workers, the manager explained that the mechanic who installed my tires was in a hurry that day, and totally forgot to look at my brakes or notice the wear on my tires, indicating the need for an alignment. And that caused me to drive out of that store with a whole lot of false confidence that day!

Thank you, Les Schwab, for keeping me and my disabled son safe on the road! I not only had worn my new tires down, but now was looking at the extra expense of having my rotors turned, not to mention the "Special" alignment that had to be done because it was let go so long. I was furuous! I depended on those people to do the complete inspection they promised with each tire sale and service and it was not done. The manager did apologize. And he gave me $10 off for a new tire to replace the one that had been worn down the worst. Give me a flippen break!

Now you guys can beat me up awhile and call me names for sharing my experience! Leave the other guy alone, Schwab employees, friends and relatives... He has endured enough. I can just imagine all the complaints that didn't get printed here because people didn't want to have to go through the same humiliation you put the other guy though.

While this site should allow room for rebuttals, name calling and personal slurs should be grounds for removing those rebuttals in violation of site policy.

I shop Bxx x now.
Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
