U-Ride Motors Of Florida Dba Stephen's Enterprise aka Horizon Car & Vans
Ripoff, Liars, Unprofessional, Lauderhill

I recently purchased a vehicle on 5/3/04. I purchased the vehicle AS IS. At the time of purchase I explained that in order for me to give my complete down payment I would have to go ahead and sell my car to receive the money and if I sold my car I would not have a ride to work the next day. I was told I could take the car that night and have my Fianc drop the car off the next morning to finish the repairs. The Manager on call completing the sale promised to finish the repairs the next morning (the electrical problem, perform a tune up, flush the radiator, and correct whatever problem was making the car shake), being that their mechanic had couldn't finish the repairs right then. But the only way that would be done immediately was if I completed the paperwork and give my down payment in the amount of $1,850 that day.

I left the car lot and sold my car, and then returned to complete the deal. When my Fianc returned to the car lot the next morning a different person was there and I was told the girl was off, come back the next day. She was the only person that could approve the repairs. He returned the next day and a different person was there. This went on for the next Two days.

That Saturday 5/8/04 I tried contacting the Owner because it was obvious I was being jerked around. While contacting the owner I was told she was unavailable and I had to call her Monday morning, again on Monday I was given the run around again. I tried going back to the initial car lot to speak with the manager who completed the deal and she was never in.

This continued for another week, a week of running around. Finally on Tuesday 5/18/03 I was able to get in contact with the head Manager (Joanna), I explained to her what was going on she stressed to me I bought the car As Is and there is nothing she can do about a verbal agreement. I then asked if they would allow me to talk to the manager who completed the deal so she could verify the agreement, she then directed me to go back to the car lot and the girl would be there.

When I reached the car lot it was not the same girl once again, Joanna was contacted again, she advised me to pay for my tags, title, and taxes and in the morning the car would be sent to the Electric shop for the electrical repairs and the mechanic on the car lot would do the Tune-up, Radiator flush. I then paid the money owed and assumed the matter would be taken care of. The next morning the cycle began again. No one was able to contact Joanna to verify the tune - up and radiator flush. She only approved the car to be taken to the Electric shop.

Finally Joanna was contacted I asked to speak with her, the first thing Johanna said to me was You don't want to F*IN piss me off. Johanna spoke to me as if I was a dog not her customer, so naturally I responded rudely also, during that phone call nothing was accomplished, and Joanna directed me to leave with my car she has nothing else to say and she wants nothing else to do with me nor my car.

Later that day I was able to contact another manager who then told me the only thing they'll fix is the electrical problem. I went to the Electric shop and the only thing the dealer told them to do was make sure the battery was charging and the alternator. I then asked the mechanic would he check the car out for me, then I found out the coil pack was bad, the car had a major drainage, it needed a tune-up, the radiator needed to be flush, and my brakes were bad. I understand the As Is Law now that I've bought the car and I had no idea I should have had the dealer put this agreement in writing.

Now the car is shaking uncontrollably, I have to receive a jump every morning, when I'm driving the alarm constantly sets off, and because of the wreck (which was never brought to my attention) the headlights are crushed and the lights point down, the brakes will not stop immediately, the speed odometer does not work, the inside lights won't come on, neither of the seats can be adjusted, and my hood is not level.

I've tried contacting the owner of the car for the past week and a half and she's never available or I'm told she can't be contacted otherwise. All I want is to return the car and receive my down payment back. If this is how this company conducts business I want no part of them.
