Braech of trust / ripoff

I traded my car in to this company in April the agreement was that they would pay off my car and I would purchase theres. Well I did purchase there car but they never paid mine off.in fact they were making payments on it for about 4 months till they finally sent the payoff. They sent the payoff to a company named HouseHold Auto Finance who put a hold on the check for 30 days when the 30 days was up HouseHold sent the Title and Lean to Ultimate Cars.

Come to find out that Ultimate Cars so called Cashiers check was returned but they already had the title and the lean. Now more than 1yr later HouseHold is still holding me accountable for a vehicle I haven't had in a year. And it has affected my credit report. If they hold me responsible for this account how come they didn't send me the title and lean. Now Ultimate Cars has already sold that car and can really care less what happens because they got their money.

Also Ultimate Cars has no record of the check they said they sent to HouseHold, so I don't know who to believe HouseHold or Ultimate Cars.
