I bought a Infinity G35 coupe, from Motor Car Concepts on Kirkman Road, Within my first 30 days of owing the car I notice residue in the coolant reservoir. I was told by Motor Cars Mechanic that it was just some sealant added by the previous owner, and he will flush the radiator and make sure the problem will be taken care of. About 90 days later while
driving my car it started to overheat.
The car overheated so bad to the point when I looked under the hood the plastic cap from the coolant reservoir blew off and the entire muffler was piping orange. After politely being told by a salesman that my original salesman no
longer worked there and " if you are out of your 30 days its your problem, but you can try our mechanic for a discount". I then had the car towed to my mechanic. I was told the cars computer does not let the car to be diagnosed when connected to the diagnostic machine.
After a couple days of trying to figure why the car wouldn't start, I was told by my mechanic I have no other choice to take the car to Infinity so they can diagnose the car and possibly replace the computer.
After a week Orlando Infinity dealership told me it would cost $1600 to replace the cars computer then after that they will be able to diagnose the problem and the diagnostic fee will be included in the repair. I decided before attempting
to sue Motor Car Concepts, I would contact the store manager to seek assistance in the repair bill. After going back and forward for another week, he decided they would cover half of the $1600 by contributing to my car note, so I can pay
for repair. After the computer is installed a week later it was determined the fuel pump is bad and it would cost $890 to fix the problem. I contacted Motor Car manager again he said after speaking to the owner they will contact Infinity, to try to get a dealership discount since only Orlando Infinity, could replace the computer correctly and it was no other choice but to let the repair it, per their mechanic. After a few days I was told by Orlando Infinity, without my per authorization that Motor Car Concepts has taken over repair cost and they have approved the additional $ 890 repair and the car will be repaired
and taken back by Motor Car Concepts.
I called to speak to the manager he tells me just play along with the program, this trick will allow them to get a discount repair cost from Infinity. It was suggested by Motor Car Concepts manager that I no longer contact Orlando
Infinity because they wouldn't be willing to go along with the "program" if I called acting concerned about the car. They kept dragging me along for another week by saying they will swap the car out if costs are too much, or they will just add the repair cost on to the car finance after working it out.
Finally this week I was told by Motor Car Concepts GM, that it would be another $7000 in repair cost to replace the electric harness and they are not going to pay for that. I also found out that nothing has been paid towards my car note
and it has been reported 40 days late on my credit report. This was all part of Motor Car Concepts plan to pay the $1600 $ 890 and take the car back.
After I told the GM, I found out my car note hasn't been paid and I paid it. He said "well we will just wait till you stop paying the car note, then get it from Orlando Infinity and let out mechanic fix it and re sale the car and you will be stuck with the car note.
I could really use some help, I put $2000 down for the car and now I have no car and now looking to be have it repossessed. The funny thing I received no notice from the finance company saying the car note was behind. I think
possibly these companies were working together.
