I'm a skycap at Boston Logan Airport for national airlines. Lately the overall director rob lopez has transformed the responsibilities of skycaps. Our responsibilities were to help all guests with baggage, possibly examining in at curbside or helping guests towards the admission table or elsewhere a may need baggage help. He's now transformed it to curbside check-in just, if somebody wants helpwith their baggage towards the admission table for instance i can't support them. Guests are becoming annoyed whenever we inform them we can not assist them, because they are compelled to pull their bags in to the final. As a result of this I've dropped over 50% of my pay, i work with guidelines. It's poor customer support. Case: a household of 5 with 10 bags going 1st-class required help the admission table for checkin, I'd to decline, he turned furious stating he'd settled nearly 20,000$ for his 1st-class seats and also you cant help me? I described the brand new rules to him nad that I really could shed my work if didn't adhere to the brand new guidelines. AA GM rob lopez has transformed the meaning of the term skycap, today guests who require support today endure for this. No-one can assist us, we've approached attorneys and also the work board.
