If you care about your car then don't take it to Jiffy Lube. I try not to use them but found myself needing an oil change a couple weeks ago and short on time, so I went there against my better judgment.
While they were changing my oil I asked about my center break light which is in my spoiler. The tech opened the back door and began to show me how to remove the panel to get to the light. He loosened the bolt and then I thought tightened back up. After I got home I went to open the back door and noticed it wouldn't open right. Upon further inspection I saw where the bolt had been snapped off of the spoiler. I tried to be nice and went back to Jiffy Lube to see if they could install the part that they had broken, if I was able to find it and they said they would.
Now I went out looking for it and could only get it from the dealership for $758. So I went back to Jiffy Lube with paper in hand to show them the cost. After speaking with the Area Manager, he set a time for me to go in and see the manager of the store who then took pictures and made copies of all the paperwork. Now after 2 weeks of stopping by and calling with no return phone call, I finally reached the manager to have him tell me they are going to deny my claim. He then stated that the tech who broke the bolt claimed he never even touched it and that I came in saying I broke it and just wanted to know if they could fix it.
I have never had the pleasure of someone lying directly to me and hope you don't give them the chance to do the same to you. I believe that all men will make a mistake at some point in their life but real men will own up to it where cowards will not.
