I rented the truck through the main booking number. After calling the low lifes in Galveston I was told no trucks were available, even though there is a equal to or better than clause, and would have to travel 40 miles to Houston for a truck.
My own car was not running, so I then had to get a ride and use up 40 miles prepay on the return trip. First there were 4 trucks in the lot, which you have to pass entering and leaving town. Second I had to pass three other closer u-haul centers along the way. Third when returning the truck, they tried to rip me for extra milage, which was prepaid to 90 miles. After stating that it would be best to call the corpoarte office since I was not paying another penny. The manager managed to find the mistake, after 30 mins. Of clicking on the computer (he could have read my reciept).
I had heard of this happening in Louisiana and Mississippi, and now I fall victim to it, in Tex-ass.
It will be the last place I go, in the future, or recommend.
