ZIEBARTCONSUMER SCAM AND RIP OFF
Ziebart has changed it's policies and are no longer the bargain I once felt they were. I first used Ziebart in 1972 and on every new car since then. Not anymore. No longer will they offer a rustproof guarantee for as long as you own the car. 10 years is the maximum length.
You must pay about $100 yearly for an inspection to keep the policy (warranty) in force. So if you pay $500 up front and $100 per year for 10 years you now have $1500 invested in the warranty. Another way to figure it is this... The auto manufacturer provides for a 7 year rust protection on all their new cars. You've just paid $1500 for a 3-year warranty (from 7 years to 10 years) or $500 per year. Also it should be noted that if you do use Ziebart, (they drill holes into your car) it would void your factory warranty.
If you happen to miss one of Ziebart's required yearly inspections, you have no warranty from Ziebart or the manufacturer.By the way, depending on the manufacturer, some body rust warranties last 10 or 12 years, equal to or longer than Ziebart's warranty at no additional cost. Save yourself the money and hassles.
