This letter is to inform you of the systematic fraud and deception of Bill Heard Chevy of union city ga. On 8/31/02 I bought a 2002 Chevy silerado from this dealership. They had sent me a letter telling me I was pre approved for a loan and that I had won a prize so I went to the dealership and they told me I had won a free trip but i never called to find out about the trip.
The salesman Marvin showed me some vans but i wanted a extended cab pickup truck i showed him the letter they sent me in the mail and he said you can only get a base model i said ok but we could not find one in the new car lot so i was ready to leave he said man i am trying to help you so when we were coming back into the showroom he saw a pickup park on side of the building no stickers in the window he said that's a base model and he took the vin # and went to get the keys when he open it and we started it we saw it had 2000 plus miles on the odometer.
That is when he said to me this is deal that did not go through, he said don't worry you are going to get a discount because you are a repeat customer and this is a unwine.
The finance manager Mr. Jo. Johnson told me that he could still sell me the truck as a new truck because it was never titled i said ok but i need extended warranty he said ok and we signed the bill of sale they told me they could do the deal with 2000.00 dollars down, they called me back to resign three times each time asking me for more money i finanly gave them $4200.00 down and we close the deal about three weks later.
On 12/28/03 the transmission on my truck stop working so i called chevy roadside assistance and they said yes you have an extended warranty and sent tow truck to take my truck to the dealership, when we got there the service adviser told me that i had no warranty, so i went to see Mr Jo Johnson who inform me that he drop my extended warranty because the bank had put cap on the loan and he had told me so i said if you had told me that i would not have bought the truck with out the extended warraty, he said i am not going to get into a pissing contest with you you have no warranty and the only thing i can do for you is to try and get oyu into a 2004 truck and the service adviser told me i will have to pay 500 to get the trans fix and rent my own car.
I was so mad i went home got online and pulled a Car Facts report to see if my truck was lemon the report told me that my truck had been titled 3 times before, the next day went to Ga DMV and got title history report which confirmed what Car Facts had said, they gave me copies of all the titles which showed that the truck was sold in july and that this truck should have been sold to me as a used truck, but when they submitted the papers to appily for a title in my name they filed a false document reporting the milage as only 141 miles on the odometer the day we signed the bill of sale, which is false the day we signed the bill of sale the odometer had 2000 plus miles on it.
I asking anyone who had or have a vehicle from Bill Heard to please call your state DMV and request title history report to find out if your socalled new car had been titled before, I will like to know what Bill Heard does with all new vehicles that they give to people and then call them up and tell them they have to bring them back or come up with more money, do they still sell them as new.
If my trasmission did not stop working i would have never found out that my truck was titled befoe, please check your vehicles even if you had to give it back please file a report and give us the vin number and milage when you got it and when you gave it back so we can stop them from lying on the milage form thank you
