In October My wife and I bought a GMC Jimmy 4x4 from Dan at C&S II in Waterloo, Iowa. We were only allowed a brief test drive. C&S II arranged the financing through a "Friend" of Dan and the company.
The GMC Jimmy broke down ten times in the 6 days.
We contacted and contacted Dan at C&S II. Finally he said the vechicle was "not worth bothering with!" and refused to talk to us further about the car, even though he admitted knowing it was a lemon. He further told us that "there's no lemon law in Iowa." so we would be unable to do anything legally.
The finance company "friend" of the dealer sued us for the full amount of over $4,000 on the Jimmy that she sold for $100 junk.
We owe the full purchase price on a car we had 10 days.
The judge at the small claims court told us we should have sued C&S for knowingly selling us a lemon! We were unable to as we were now burdened with payments on a piece of junk we had less than a week.
We will never buy another car from them. We also hear that they have a bad reputation in the Waterloo are as "Cash for Crap".
