I took out an auto warranty for five years or, 100,000 miles, from Auto Service Warranty, Inc., 6500 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights, Ohio on August 9. I paid $199 initially using my AMEX credit card. I was billed for $100 per month from September through April by Auto Service Warranty via my AMEX card, Inc. For the 5 yr. Warranty. I never had to make any claims, but on July 18, I noticed that complaints were coming in about this company taking the payments and going out of business. I attempted to call the company and found that their telephone is disconnected. This is a terrible loss to me. I am enraged that a business listed itself as being BBB approved and could take money, go out of business, and leave its customers without a refund. This casts great doubt in my mind about why auto warranty companies are never monitored or held accountable for losses to their customers. The State of Ohio should have investigated this company.
