I received an offer in the mail to extend my auto warranty another year (as though this company were the original providers of warranty insurance). I called the dealer where I purchased my car to ask about it. It is not the same company they used to provide warranty insurance for me when I bought my car. The owner of the dealership suggested Warranty Corp. Picked my name and address from the internet. I almost sent in the requested amount for a year.
Moral: Follow-up on these kinds of offers with those who you know and trust. There are too many scoundrels in the world today.
