I would like to take this time to let people know how I have been the victim of a rip-off. I had just put $800 of repairs into my car in Jacksonville Flordia due to a Thermostate. This included the oil change that I had done there at the time as well.

I had just moved to Arkansas and in less then a month my new car was in the shop again. I was told by the Service Manager that I cracked the head, but he was not sure and needed to tear my engine apart and charge me $300 to do that. At this point I was getting upset.

I had called Hyundai Consumer Affairs and the dealer stateing that this was covered under my 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. "America's Best Warranty" as said in their advertising. Both Hyundai and the dealer pointed the finger at me and said it was my fault due to the car overheated because of a broken thermostat.

I recived calls at my place of work by the office clerk yelling at me and talking over me when ever I was tring to explain anything to her. I asked for a manager where I spoke to the Service Manager that instead of an apology maded threats of my well being to me at my place of work.

As it turns out I let them charge me the money for the tear down of my engine where I am not expected to pay $3000 for a used engine because my engine needs a new one. (this is a warranty issue) They have been working on my car for 3 1/2 months now.

I have filed many complaints at the dealership where no calls back from the general manager were made. I have filed many complaints with Hyundai Consumer Affairs where the reps insist on placing the blame on me that I do not know how to take care of my car.

The dealership, I believe, has been fixing items on my car that I did not authorize (i.E. Fuel pump... Discussed as issue, but never confirmed and some hose that they said I need that I never gave the okay for) I live 40 miles from my work. They would not give me a loaner car, believe me I asked.

The dealership has been though 3 Service Managers in the past 3 months. I have not had my car for going on 4 months. The dealership will not even make payment arrangements on an issue that should be warranty work. I have had so much stress, depression, and sleepless nights due to this dealership and company.

I can not take it anymore and so I vow to tell anyone and everyone that will listen. I am telling websites, newspapers, news stations, attorneys. I don't want my fellow Americans to go though what I am going through.in the long run for a 2000 Hyundai Elantra with repairs, rides, gas money for rides, public transport... I am pay about $40,000 for this car.

I have lost all respect and confidence in this company and especially this dealership. I urge anyone not to buy, lease, or think about getting a Hyundai. (Kia is made by Hyundai too.)

This is a company who has lied about warranty by placing blame on me, lied about the horse power my car actually had. I also believe that this dealership is lying to me about the repairs because I have become irate with them before about this issue. I am only human and the customer. This is my right.

I have an issue that is difficult on me as would anyone else. Customer service is truely lacking in this company all together. I have seen this before. The company was MCI Worldcom.

Lost Customers Cost More To Earn And Get Back Then To Retain
