They advertised a car on Craigslist and we went to see it. It was higher than blue book but they stressed that it was in tip-top shape. It looked nice and we gave it a 5 minute drive. It seemed okay so we decided to go ahead and buy it anyway. It was sold "as is."
The car never made it home. We live about 20 miles from the place we bought it. It broke down on the way home. We had it towed and were told that the radiator was shot. We had the radiator replaced. Once again, after we drove out of the auto shop the car never made it home. Once again we had it towed. We were told that the head gasket was blown. After leaving the shop it continued to overheat so we took it to a specialist who told us that it would cost another $2,000 to make it run right. We now had put $1,500 into a car that we already paid more than blue book for. We decided to cut our losses and dump the car. It cost us over $5,000 for a car that we had in the shop for over a week.
Three weeks later they called us to tell us that our tags were in. When I told them that they sold us a lemon that broke down after we left the shop and how much it had cost us, they hung up on me.
If you do business with these people, you deserve what you get!
