Dear problem solver,

After exhausted attempts to resolve my dilema with Towbin Dodge, it's affiliates, managers and owners, I now request the State's assistance and that of a Private Attorney.

August 26th I committed to the purchase of, (what was initially represented as a 2002), a Dodge Durango left over demonstrator with 6800 miles. I was assured, by both, Curtis Maestos, (Salesman), and Will Torres, (Towbin Sales Manager), full warranty by Chrysler Corp.
Would be effective from date of purchase. My sole purpose of this purchase was to accomodate my personal belongings, my Two little ones, myself and re-locate to South Florida, "Safely", knowing I was fully covered under my "NEW" vehicle warranty.

My reason for re-locating was to be there for my parents, my Sister was involved in a, FATAL, Auto accident. My Mother's words were "please Be careful driving". As I traveled to Florida I noticed I had to really hold the steering wheel, the vehicle seemed to wonder all over the road. My hands would go numb. I nearly ran off the pavement, several times. A few days after arriving in Florida, I washed the truck and upon doing so noticed the left front fog light loose and dangling in it's mounting place, I found that odd, however put a bolt in it to secure it.

I noticed the radio antenna was missing, I drove to Maroone Dodge, Delray Beach, FL to Purchase an antenna Mast. The parts counter person explained, there are two types and offered to take a look at the truck. Upon doing so he noticed that the antenna had been broken. He then pointed out paint imperfections. I purchased the Mast. I was upset at what I now learned.

I decided to visit my Brother John, Certified I.C.A.R., twenty some years working at Sunshine Auto body, Boca Raton, A well respected operation. John and a co-worker came and looked over the vehicle, pointing out excessive damage left and right that had been improperly repaired. Frame and body Damage in excess of $500.00. Hood was replaced, mis aligned and without legal emission decal's. Improper bolts used, brake lines stretched and bent, steering shaft over extended, tortion bars heightened to max, complete front end body parts replaced, non-Chrysler parts, bolts missing and or improper, all four doors damaged, Improperly repaired, entire vehicle Re-painted.

I note this vehicle, originally was demonstrated as a 2002 model year Demo then told that was a mistake it was a 2001. Will Torres confirmed, both Verbally and on a written Document. It is actually a 2000 Model, rendering the value less, coupled with the, nondisclosed, dimished value even less.

I noticed the brakes seemed to be sticking, stopping the truck by themselves, having to accelerate excessive to move the truck and smoke coming from the front wheels. I brought the Truck to Maroone Dodge for service. Richard Oropeza, (Assistant service Manager), assisted me. After picking up the truck, next day, I questioned the work performed, and was told, both rotors, calipers and brake pads had been replaced on the front end. Approximately thirty minutes after leaving the dealership, I again experienced the same, Brakes smoking, pulling and locking.

I brought the truck back to Maroone Dodge, Ed Kemp, (Service Manager), became involved, later refused to do anymore work on the truck stating it had been wrecked and that I would have to pay if anymore work were to be performed. Also he notified Chrysler to void the warranty. Ed explained that it would be Towbin Dodge's responsibility.

Several attempts to resolve this with Towbin Dodge, have left me completley frustrated. I talked with executive secretaries Kelly and Joanie, (Dan Towbin's personal secretary), only to be put off, promised, lied to and otherwise ignored. Friday Dec. 20th I made one more attempt to contact Dan Towbin. Joanie again made excuses for his whereabouts. I questioned Joanie, repeatedly as to Dan Towbin's knowledge of this situation, her answer repeatedly was, "I think so", "I believe so", "yes I think". All non definitive answers, then she told someone in the room, I was badgering her.

Shazad Lateef, (C.F.O. Towbin) picked up the phone, then I explained myself and asked him the same, "Has Dan Towbin been made aware of this situation?" his reply was "Yes". He then went on to say that Will Torres had been instructed to resolve the issue. Will Torres did phone and offered to take the truck back, "ON TRADE" less depreciation no other concessions were authorized. After Towbin Dodge, Owners, Managers, Sales people and affiliates "JEOPORDIZED MY LIFE" IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE, I had asked, they simply refund my money or place me in a new truck, (after all that's what I purchased)!!!

Towbin, to date, has offered no responsible response!!!
Chrysler Corp. Is aware of this situation, Towbin has admitted to Chrysler, repairs and alterations were made to the vehicle prior to my purchase. Customer care #11893794. DAMAGE AND REPAIRS BY TOWBIN DODGE WERE NEVER DISCLOSED!
