I traded my 1998 F150 at the Ron Baker Chevrolet for a 1999 Suburban on 11/31/03. I traded my vehicle because I needed a bigger one. I test drove the vehicle prior to purchasing it and made my salesman aware of the problem as we drove it.
The problem that it has is that when coming to a halt, either slowly or abruptly, it would make a loud noise and the vehicle tends to pull itself towards the right. This occurs while in motion as well. He (sale man) advised me that it would be taken care of and to bring it in so it can be fixed. Satisfied with his reassurance, I went ahead and purchased the vehicle.
I took the vehicle in 12/6 and it was returned same day. The response, "They could find anything wrong with it". That the noise that it was making it was due brakes on the back and that it was already taking care of. Also, in regards to the pulling towards the right that it was normal on does type of large vehicles.
The problem persisted, so on 12/15 8am took it back in, only to get my car back 12/16 and the response still "nothing wrong with it". That the only think that they found it was that the tires had air over pressure and that it will pull the vehicle towards were the pavement will seem to curve. I requested to have a copy of the safety check up they supposed to performed on the used vehicle and the answer was that Is not on file.
This vehicle obviously has something wrong with it if it sways to the right while on the freeway or coming to a stop. I took the vehicle back again today 12/30 & 12/31 and this time I got a different response, "sorry, we could not find anything wrong with it". I have contacted the dealer several times I have write them letters.
All I had for a response is that they couldn't find anything wrong with my vehicle. I am in debt with sixteen thousand dollars and stock with a vehicle that I don't use cause I am afraid that if I have my children with me, something might happen. I don't think that Ron Baker should stay in business at all, when it's putting others people live's at risk. Ron Baker Chevrolet is not only a "RIP-OFF" it'S also a game that they play with their customers live's and pockets.
