Transmission Parts Distribution
Jeff Madison Don't care about consumers

I need a transmission for my 1990 k1500 Chevy, when looking for one I ended up on e-bay and found Transmission Part Distribution Inc. (2510 Evon Rd. Saginaw, MI 48601). When I talked to Jeff Madison from Transmission Part Distribution he claimed they had one rebuilt in stock, and ready to be shipped with all new up-dates, any part that wear out was replaced, if any part was bad or looked bad was replaced with new, had a 2 year warranty and for $149.00 I could get a 4 year warranty which also covers shipping that the 2 year warranty doesnt if anything happens.
I had Jeff bill my paypal, and paid him on Aug. 27. After I paid, I didnt hear from Jeff about a shipping date, so I talked to him about that. He told me to save money they dont rebuild one till I paid for it, so they are rebuilding one right now for you. The next time I talk to Jeff he said there was problems with the shipping company and he had to send the transmission COD. He did give me back my $75 that I paid him, but now had to pay 82.12 for shipping. After 18days I got the transmission, it ran good, and I give back to my son whos going to school full time so the truck is drove very little.

On Feb. 9th I got a call from my son, and asked what kind of warranty does this transmission have on it, and I told him 4years why? He said he was driving on79 and the truck came out of over drive into 3rd and the transmission stop working. I told him to give Jeff a call and let him know whats going on. Jeff told him as soon as you get the transmission out call him back, so he could have it picked up. I had to drive from my house in Franklin Wv to Fairmont Wv which I left at 8:30 am and didnt get back home till 9:30/10:00 pm because I had to tow my car there and tow the truck back, and its like 400 miles.

My son called Jeff back and told him the transmission is out, and Jeff told him they will pick it up on Feb, 15th 2011. No call/no shipping, so I wrote Jeff he wrote back and he claimed they will pick up tomorrow (Feb 17th) no call/no e-mail/no shipping so I had to write Jeff again. At this point Jeff claimed the shipping company refusing to pick it up and he was just going to have to rebuild a new one, and when the shipping company dropped it off just give them the old one. He claimed it would be shipped out by the end of next week around March 3or 4. No call/no e-mail/no shipped. My son talked to Jeff on March 7 and Jeff claimed this time it was going to be shipped and here the tacking number for R&L Carriers. My son tries looking up this tracking number, with no luck he called R&L on March 8 and asked them if they had a pick up for us from Transmission Part Distribution Inc. They said no. When my son asked about the other dates, they told him Transmission Part Distribution Inc never called them about any pick up or drop off for us, plus the guy from R&L told him other people call him looking for stuff that Jeff claimed to ship and never did. They told my son that they may have a pick on March 9th and to call back after 5:00pm. No call/no email/no shipping. My son talked Jeff again and Jeff claimed he guarantees that our transmission is going to be shipped March 14th, and give him the same tracking number. I called R&L and they said it has been picked up and should be in Calf.By tomorrow. When I asked why they shipping to Calf and not Wv, and they told me why. Jeff given us somebody elses track number. Now Jeff claiming it will be shipped on March 15th. When I called R&L they said it has been shipped and I have to pay the shipping of 94.50, so we had to talk to Jeff again. Now hes claiming I have to pay for the shipping. So to get this truck back on the road, I asked them if I could meet them in Harrisonburg, because I really need this transmission. I drove 102 miles just to get this transmission cost me like $35 in gas just to find out that Jeff sent the wrong one.

As Im dealing with this matter, Jeff claiming that he is the Masters of Transmission and has been in business for 12 years and has 10,000, 20,000 30,000 40,000 transmission on the road! He claims they have done so much for us, and hasnt given us any run around. Not only the fact that this sick person Jeff has keep me locked up in my house for weeks unable to leave because he claimed the shipping company coming. He claimed we burned the transmission up. They dont put a magnet in the pan, so one little piece of metal could have killed this transmission. Then to top it off Jeff wants us to use the old torque converter thats full of metal, so the new transmission will fail, and cost me more problems and money.
A friend of mine talked to a person that work in the transmission shop for the police department for over 40years, and told us, when he has to deal with cases like this one he finds. 1) A rebuilt transmission is where they just replace the parts that are needed to be replace (like if 1st gear clutches are bad, they replace them, use all the other old clutches, steels, bearings. Sound like a Jeff transmission) 2) They can give you a car transmission, because you cant see whats inside. (car have lighter transmission, and dont last long in trucks) 3) they buy a salvage yard transmission and paint it up to sell as rebuilt. He told me to look for shop that is certified and does remanufacture thats where they replace all the seal, bearings, clutches, steels, springs, values, filters, oil pump, and up-dates.
I have been more then nice to Jeff, even was going to give him some transmission to rebuild and sell, but do to all the lies, the stress, time lost, the cost of shipping $95/ new oil $45, and the additional cost of 2,000 to 3,000 dollars and every day this goes up with gas going up.
We have ask Jeff to take this transmission back and give me back my $880.12 and hes not will to do so.
