Recently I took my 4 runner to Milford Toyota in Massachusetts to have two car transmitters programmed. We took our car to mild ford Toyota because we bought the car there as well as got it serviced there, and felt some loyalty to Milford Toyota.
My wife and I waited two hours after which we were told that they couldn't program the transmitters and they believed it was because of a faulty computer within the car. They also gave me the instructions on how to program the transmitters to try for myself.
The following week I took the same transmitters to Boch Toyota and they programmed the transmitters in 30 min.!
Two weeks ago I relayed the same information to one of the Service Managers and that was the last I heard from them, not even an apology.
If the problem was with a computer in my car then why would they give me the instructions to program it?
Loyalty is earned, and in this case they lost a customer who will share our experience with others
