It was 1;30 in the morning and i dropped off a friend at woodside apt after going out to have some fun. I parked in a vacant spot in front of her apt. There was 10or so other parking spots that was not taken so i didnt see a prob. My truck was parked for about 10 min as i walk her in because of how late it was and the area is not SAFE at night! The parking spots were not marked. I came out side to get into my truck to leave and it was gone! Some one stole it i thought! But at the same time my friend came out side and said that she got a text from a friend that lives in the apt and she seen my truck being towed!
We went to the impound where it was at and paid 190.00 to get it out! I made it 1/8 of a mile down the road before my truck broke down!
There was no damage to the body so i didnt think twice about leaving the impound that night. Plus it was 4 in the morning and i had to work the next day.
I called united the next morning about 7 oclk after i relized that the front end and frame was damaged. The lady said to bad!!! You left with out filling out a claim report so we are not payin for it! The truck ran great till there sneaky ass tow driver stole my truck!
Iv asked to talk to the driver... They said NO! I asked them to talk to the driver and see if something happend and they told me NO! She said get three estaments and we will see what we can do. I hafta have it towed from shop to shop and pay to have a estament done three times
So... Now i have no ride and have spent 700.00 out of pocket just so they can think about fixing my truck.
I spoke to the manager at united today and her argument was... Its old any way
Yea its a classic dummy and i have spent a lot of time fixing and restoreing it! Its a 1983 Chevey c-20 long bed 3/4 ton and its my pride and joy! The truck is not drivable at all, but when they picked it up i wouldnt be scared to drive 1000 miles downt the road in it. It would just drink alot of gas because of the 350 4 bolt main and the turbo 300 trans thats in it
