In a nutshell, I had to replace a camshaft synchronizer in my 2003 Ford Mustang. The Ford service adviser quoted $661.00 to repair my car. ($259.00 for parts and $378.00 for labor) Luckily, I decided to contact which is located. 5 miles from the Ford dealership. The service advisor quoted $218.61 to repair my car. ($109.99 for parts & $99.00 for labor). I saved over $400.00. Although, I know the dealerships are generally more expensive than the neighborhood auto repair guy, in this case I felt the Ford dealership was over the top and taking advantage of a customer. Although Ford has repaired my car many times, I will never -never - never return for service again. Greed will ultimately disrupt the business relationship.
My car has been repaired and I am happy! Thank You! Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
