My son called me from Atlanta, Georgia, to tell me that his car, a Ford Contour, was making a strange noise when he put it into gear. I made a trip to Atlanta to investigate and wound up at a local Ford dealership. Peachtree Ford.
They indicated that the motor mounts were not correctly installed by another Ford dealership (Mike Shad Ford in Jacksonville, Florida). They indicated that the charge would be 805 dollars to make repairs. This involved 9 hours of labor.
When I approached the service department of Mike Shad Ford to get reembursed, they showed me where the work, as described by Peachtree Ford, had not been done and that even if it had, only 3 hours of labor would be needed.
Myself and Mike Shad Ford tried to talk to Peachtree Ford on several occasions to get more details. Mike Shad Ford wanted to know what else, beside changing the mounts, was done. Peachtree Ford Service personnel, would not take our calls and would not return messages.
To date, Peachtree Ford will still not talk to me and Mike Shad Ford will not cover what they call excess labor. If Peachtree Ford had nothing to hide, why will they not talk to us about what they had to do to change the motor mounts?
