Jim Click Lincoln Mercury Dealership
Jim Click automotive services This Dealership promises do NOT deliver. They do not honor warranties. Their conduct is unlawful

I bought a battery from Jim Click Lincoln Mercury after a recommendation from their staff to do so. After a few months, the battery light came on. I went to the dealership and they said that it was a "electrical" problem and not to worry about it. Plus, they tried to charge me a diagnostic charge that I did not authorize.
A month later the car would not start. I took the battery there, and they said it was fine. However, both Pepboys and Autozone tested it and said the battery wouldnt keep a charge and was no good.
I called the dealership and it was indeed under warranty. They said they could do nothing without the car, that the problem was something about my alternator and not their battery and they had to charge me over one hundred dollars just to do a diagnostic. I went to the dealership THREE TIMES WITH THE BATTERY AND THEN WITH THE CAR. I told them I only wanted what the warranty covered. They refused, saying the battery was fine, but that there was something else wrong with my car and insisted they do a diagnostic. My car is older. I knew that SOMETHING would come up regardless, simply because it is an older car and the A/C doesnt work, etc. I told them this. They refused to replace the battery although it was well within the warranty. Because i am unemployed i went without a car for 3 months, thinking that there was something more wrong with my car and i needed the diagnositc that i could not yet afford. I rode the bus to interviews and everywhere I had to go, even with a disease I live with called Multiple Schlerosis.
Finally, i bought a battery at autozone. The problem is solved. The warranty was never honored. This dealership made it impossible to prove that i just needed what they had promised (and what i paid for when i bought the battery).
Then, (before it was fixed with a new battery) when i took the car in, they did all sorts of repairs before they even notified me that my car was ever towed there. I refused payment for it, although felt bad and finally paid some of their charges. They undid some hand wiring that was done because it was a way to get the fan going. Because they undid the wiring, i have to have it redone so my fan will work. (as i have no interest in repairing the relay that controls the fan when i can simply wire it into the dash.) i had paid for someone to do it and now will have to pay for someone to do it again.
Summary: i bought a battery from jim click. It went bad in 4 months. The one year warranty was never honored. I was overcharged and all sorts of "repairs" were done that were never authorized. One of the "repairs" was to undo hand wiring that i had paid a mechanic to do so that the fan would work without fixing an expensive sensor / relay on a 1995 car. All of this "work" they did was unauthorized, their warranty on the battery was fraud, and my car still is not totally fixed since i have to now repay someone to wire the fan that jim click undid without my permission. There is otherwise nothing wrong with the car because i had it put through the expensive diagnostic machine off hours with an emplyee that did it illegally for me. Nothing wrong except the bad battery. The bad battery that i overpaid for in the first place out of convenience from a dealership that overcharges. With a bogus warranty that was never honored and which i doubt ever will be.
JIM CLICK IS A TOTAL RIP OFF. Feel free to call me anytime. Be my guest. 520-881-0017!! They take advantange of people, lie, do unauthorized repairs, do not take responsibility, and are basically not in the right business. They would be better bank robbers since they are doing that anyway. I have had to ride a bus at a time in my life when i am unemployed because of the economy. WHY DO I SAY THAT IT IS THE ECONOMY? BECAUSE I AM A therapist with a very successful career until this year. I have a graduate degree and have never had trouble with work until now. Now I got to see how this company treats the average-incomed population. Like bank robbers. They should be put out of business for their unlawful and unethical behavior.
