Denied Renewal of Policy

I received a letter in the mail stating that after a careful study of my individual case, they would not be able to renew my insurance policy and then they gave the circumstances surrounding the decision. A bit of useful information - I have multiple relationships with them (multiple drivers, multiple cars and homeowners insurance).

There were six occurrences (three from me and three from my spouse) and they are as follows: 08/31/10 - Spouse was in an aisle in a parking lot and a lady backed into us, and the letter states that my spouse was not at fault. On 05/11/10, I called asking how to go about filing a glass claim, I called to get some background info because I was in a rental and a pebble put a small nick in the windshield. The other driver called her insurance as well to see what they would say, but neither of us filed a claim. I understand that they have to open one up and say that nothing was paid out (turns out the rental company never noticed the windshield so we didn't have to pay anything).

On 09/26/09, my spouse was in an accident, the other driver failed to stop at a stop sign and ran into the side of the car. We were not married at the time so we were not on the same policy (let alone company), however, we have police reports and claims info from the other insurance company stating that my spouse was not at fault - GEICO says otherwise. On 06/26/08, my spouse had a speeding violation (15 mph over) and that is valid. On 06/07/08, I was affected by a flood (lost a lot of my belongings and had to leave my apartment, many parts of the city were under at least 18 feet of water). I was able to move my car before it was seriously damaged and considered a total loss. Why a flood in a place that has not flooded in nearly one hundred years counts negatively against me is beyond me?! Last but not least on 08/28/06, I received a speeding violation (15 mph over) which is valid.

My insurance rate did go up after my speeding violation, that much was to be expected. I added my spouse to my policy (started a whole new policy because I moved to another state) 05/28/10, neither of us have EVER had a lapse in insurance and our credit scores have done the normal fluctuation of a few points here and there. I spoke to one lady who said that the cancellation was revoked but then she came back and said, "well I don't know what's going on." I was sent to claims to talk about the incorrect accident at fault that was on the letter, but they said they could not verify that my claim was true - even though I offered them the claim number (from the other company) and the police report. I was told to call the othe insurance company to see why they reported that we were at fault. I called them and they informed me that they reported the accident as not at fault. I have autopay on the account so I am not behind in any payments.

I have a pretty good rate and I'm at a loss as to why we are not being renewed. I think it's a bit overboard for the infractions that we do have. I can understand if they raised the rate a bit, but cancelling it iscrazy! There has only been one not at fault accident since the opening of the joint account (I, however have been a customer for a few years). I was also told that any comprehensive claim is catergorized as not at fault.
