I took my car to rockford automotive because i wasnt sure what was wrong with it, they told me it was a cracked head and would be around $800 to fix, i agreed to it and it took them about 2 wkks to finally fix, when i went to pick it up which is 2 blocks away from my house, i couldnt even make it home, everytime i went to stop it died. So i called them and he said to bring it back up there, at first i was told the timing wasnt set right, so they set it and i left well i didnt make it a block down and it was acting weird again, i took it straight back, they said then it was my water pump and would cost $332.00 to fix. I didnt have that much as i already paid them $819.61 so it sat in my driveway until my grandmother let me use her old s-10 truck until i got the money to fix the water pump, i drove it for a few months until that water pump went out and the valve covers were dry rotted;soi found a cheaper place to fix the water pump at a place called bucks auto on Melton Ave. I had it towed out there and when he looked at it he said the head had never been touched! He said you can tell by the bolts and by looking at it there was no new head on it. Also there was nothing wrong with the water pump. So i called Rockford back and told them i talked to the owner fred who said they guarantee their work and would fix it if it was the head. It took them 3 wks to go get it from bucks then another 3 wks to look at it and i had to finally call them to find out what was going on with my car, she told me it was a blown head gasket. Which is not possible because if a new head was put on there it would have had to be driven ALOT to blow, and it was undrivable, i have several witnessses to this also they know it has been in my driveway for months. They refused to fix it at no cost because they said that was a total different problem. I have been without a car since the end of February and paid this place $819.61 and only drove it 2 blocks if that, the receptionist also was trying to downgrate the person that owned the shop before them and Buck's saying someone there probably drove it and blew the head, i told her thats not possible when it hasnt been driveable, my son and his friend had to push it to the side of our driveway because on my way home from the shop that day it died in my driveway and never would start back up! I feel this has went on for long enough, they have ripped me off and i am raising a 16 yr old and have custody (raising) my grandason who is 2. Also have lost my job because of all the complications of trying to get to work and daycare, someone please help me, i am a asingle parent just trying to survive, thank you!!
