Poor Customer Service - 2007 Mustang Clutch repai

I own a 2007 Ford Mustang with 42,000 miles on it. Recently the clutch went out on it and when I took it to the dealer i was told that it was not covered by the power train warranty even though it's part of the power train. I called Ford to talk to them and the lady I talked to said she would contact the dealer and see it they could offset some of the cost of the repair. The dealer told me that there was nothing he could do unless Ford paid the cost. It seemed like I was just getting the run around. I've own 7 Fords in the last 45-50 years, but after this experience I doubt I'll ever buy another one. I've driven manual transmission cars and trucks for 45-50 years and I've never had a clutch go out at 42,000 miles or even twice that much. The inspected the car, the tires and admitted that it didn't look like the failure of the clutch was caused by abuse. The dealer told me that to replace the clutch would cost $1500 which I found out was double the quotes I got from other shops. Needless to say I'm going somewhere other than the dealer to have it repaired. I driven Fords and dealt with Ford close to 50 years and I've always had a good relationship with them, but I doubt very seriously if I would ever buy another car or truck from them. It seems like the last couple of years the company doesn't care much about customers that have been loyal to it for several years. I know this probably won't change anything, but I hope in the future Ford will return to the wonderful company they once were.
