Complaint / Review
Drive Time, Ugly Duckling, DT Acceptance Corp
Buyer Beware DFW

I financed a care through Drive Time, I have had nothing but trouble from the start. They offer a "lay-a-way" plan, which is suitable for some people which I took advantage of.
First they state on their websites that they have 2009 models, which is a lye, because all the cars listed on the website were correct expect for the year. That should have been my first clue.

When I drove the car off the lot the check engine light came on, over the course of 5 months, I ended up taking my car to a dealership to have my car fixed right.By the way their warranty is a complete joke. I had several reps. Tell me that they were going to defer my payments, due to all the repairs the car needed.in the meantime I went over 30 days past due, and they reported this to the credit bureau.

Drive Time was negligent in taking a simple payment through a savings account, three times, where this made me "delinquent" on my payment. Although it was their fault, they were sending me emails and blowing up my phone, after all I just spoke to someone about the matter. I ended up taking my money out of my account and putting it on my credit card and made my payment online.

Drive Time needs to be exposed for their dealings, this company is very shady. Whenever I ask to speak to the owner of Drive Time or the CEO of the company no one seems to have the name of address. I believe that if the customer service is not up to par, that the owner needs to know this. I have very rude and unprofessional customer service reps. I spoke to someone yesterday and he was sarcastically rude on the phone, that I just said " Forget it" and hung up.

I believe that due to the issues that I've had with this company that they have "Red flagged" me, so whenever I call about my account, the rep is automatically rude, as if they are waiting for me to "blow up" on them. I would not mind going on T. V and exposing them, I hope someone from the local news station contacts me, they have no right to treat people like this. The used car industry needs to be regulated.
